Meet the Players
Dungeon Delvers Player Trailer
What is The World's Largest Dungeon?
The World's Largest Dungeon is a massive megadungeon campaign originally designed to be played entirely underground from beginning to end. It contains over 1600 rooms, multiple factions, hidden areas, and an enormous amount of exploration. It has been painstakingly converted to D&D 5th Edition (2014) and been modified for a modern audience.
Characters enter an ancient magical prison filled with monsters, rival factions, lost magic, and dangerous environments. Survival, resource management, teamwork, and exploration are central to the campaign.
You will progress from levels 1 through 20 and fight every single monster type listed in the monster manual during this campaign.
This campaign is expected to last approximately 2-3 years. Of course life happens and schedules change, but players should understand that this is intended to be a long-term campaign commitment.
Game Schedule & Location
We play in person near 7th st and Roosevelt in Phoenix, AZ (near downtown). There is plenty of free street parking.
- We play the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month
- Players arrive at 8:00 AM
- Game begins at 8:30 AM sharp
- Sessions run until approximately 12:00 PM
- Unless the DM is absent, the game runs as long as we have 2+ players.
- See house rules for more details.
Consistency helps the campaign run smoothly, so players should try to attend regularly when possible.
System
The campaign uses Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (2014).
Character options and additional rules are explained in the House Rules and Dungeon Information pages of this site.
Theater of the Mind
This campaign uses Theater of the Mind. There are no miniatures, grids, or tactical maps.
Instead, the game focuses on description, imagination, and narrative positioning. Players describe what their characters are doing, and the environment is explained verbally by the DM.
This approach keeps the game moving quickly, reduces setup time, and allows the group to focus more on storytelling and problem solving rather than measuring exact movement distances.
However, Theater of the Mind is not designed for strict tactical precision. For example, if you feel strongly that a Wood Elf's 35 feet of movement should always provide a measurable advantage over a Dwarf's 25 feet, this style of play may not be a good fit for you.
Please see our Theater of the Mind FAQ for more info.
